Me llamo Aldo Silva - memories of an old autobiography

Autobiography

I am Aldo Silva I was born on September 14, 1988 in Mexico City, I love to read, socialize, listen to music, go to the gym, hang out with my friends, watch movies, play videogames and  love basketball.

The first five years of my life I spent them at my grandmother's house in the Iztacalco square, my uncles Coco and Arturo took care of me because my both parents used to work, because I am hyperactive, one day I remember that jumping from chair to chair, I slipped from one of them and I broke my arm.
Before going to school we moved to our house, outdoors of Mexico’s City, this is where my younger brother was born and I still remember when my mother was pregnant and lying on the bed she invited me to touch her belly.
My first school was near my house, the first day of classes did not want to go on my own and a teacher had to carry me on her arms to go inside the classroom.
I studied at two different elementary schools: Premio Nobel de la Paz only the first year and Colegio Victoria Tepeyac where I studied the second until sixth year, here I met my best friend Ricardo, since the fifth year my school performance is getting better. At the end of the fall term in the fifth year of middle school my family and I went to Disneyland and the Universal Studios it was a big experience because that was the first time I went outside my country. In that year I was also part of the marching band since that year until second year at middle school that year we were part of the national marching bands competition, but we lost.
Throughout the elementary school I started to love basketball, I used to practice it in my Sports Club, when I was in middle school I became part of the school’s basketball team, the training days were on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the days for the games were on Saturdays. My friend Ricardo did not re-enroll in the third year of middle school because he needed to move to Pachuca, he is now studying communication sciences.
During my last year in middle school me and my family had the opportunity to return to Disneyland at California and try the Disney’s Adventure rush experience.

When I finished middle school I enrolled in the High School of Universidad La Salle,   which was only for men, at the beginning I was shocked since I had always studied in coeducational schools. During those three years in high school I found good mates, excellent teachers and memorable parties.
In the second year at high school I had a crush on Abigail, which is my neighbor, we were dating for one year and a half, but when we enroll to university we had different interests and we decided to end our relationship.
At the end of fifth grade in 2005, my brother and I during the summer we went to Canada to study english at Simon Fraiser University, I met different people from different countries who shared my interests and hobbies.
In class there were many Asians, I became a friend of Dennis who liked basketball like me and also share my time with Mexicans, South Americans and two girls from Canada.
At the end of 2005 my family and I went to the Walt Disney World we all had a marvelous time there because we always wanted to visit the Disney’s different theme parks, when we returned to Mexico I finished my high school studies, I started the last and the best year of my high school, I was in the area of social sciences and almost all the courses which I used to take were interesting, I also met two great friends Alex and Bobby, we all shared the same musical interests, we used to sit down together, go out to parties and do tons of silly stuff..
When I finished high school, I was the only one who enroll to university, Alex is studying music composition and Bobby studying English.

Months before completing high school some conferences were organized to help students to decide its major. I wanted to study marketing, but I asked for advice to one of the speakers and told me that the labor market for this profession was very low, and suggested studying Business Administration and get an MBA on marketing,I took his word and that is what I am doing right now, but in college I have gained some attraction for Economics, and I have not decided what I am going to do yet.

On the first day of classes University was odd, I missed my friends, the joy I had with them, but after that I was making new friendships that matched with my personality.
During my first semester of my bachelor, I  met Landy, my current girlfriend who is a cheerful girl, fun and sweet with which I feel identified, happy and in love

In the third semester I joined a student group called AIESEC where we get traineeship’s to foreigners and because of that we can send mexicans abroad. I really like this group because there is a huge cultural exchange, besides I love spreading the pride I feel for my country.
Now my short-term objective is to develop a Global Village at university, the guests are the main cultural ambassadors from Brazil, Russia, India, China, Germany and Japan, for the first four ambassadors, the goal of reuniting them it is to show the students how leadership is developing in those countries which are the ones where the global revenue it is being invested. The last two ambassadors are invited to demonstrate how leaders develop in their countries.
